1940's dream home

Our clients wanted to strip this home down to the studs and fully rebuild it into a modern masterpiece, designed for entertaining their family and guests.  With that in mind, one of the main features of this home redesign centered around an open gourmet kitchen that flowed right into the outdoor entertaining area.

The clients' selection of modern finishes paired perfectly with this home's classic cottage style to make this home the envy of the neighborhood.

Construction included:

• Level and replace beams and sils under the home.

• Addition of a master suite

• Complete smart home wiring system

• Restoration of original wood windows

• Back deck entertainment area

• Preservation and restoration of 2 1/4" red oak floors with matched flooring in the addition.

This original 1700 sq ft 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home was transformed into a spacious and functional 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom 2500 sq ft entertainer's dream home on a large (rare) double lot in the Capital Heights neighborhood.
